Focus on tooth decay only in the global quest for health questions the motivation of those in power

the days when we were shocked by the maps published in our newspapers, magazines, and on television depicting the spread of cholera, typhus, and other pestilence around the world? Of more recent panic-striking health risks were the reports on the bird flu epidemic that threatened our way of life.

Will legislators be the first to be bought and sold when buying and selling is controlled by legislation?

Like a stealth bomber, there has been a danger to our health among us for more than 60 years that, like a deadly poison, seeks to devastate our health. Yes, the majority of us hailed fluoridation as a great blessing as a stalwart against tooth decay.

Today we know better. Science has delivered an abundance of evidence that fluoridation of our drinking water is wrong because the effects of fluoride — a deadly poison — attack our physical health in greater proportions than before. That danger of cancer and other maladies must bring able and just reasoners to the urgent demand: stop fluoridation.

Now I need to perplex or shock you. An overabundance of countries on this globe has never or does no longer fluoridate their peoples’ drinking water. Look at this map which identifies three major industrialized countries — the United States among them — as being behind the times or continuing a practice that brings benefits (not of the health conscious type) to a few. Is it avarice fueled by self-serving power?

Dr. Charles Hoffman, president of the Florida Dental Association, using grant money from the American Dental Association, is spearheading a public campaign to smear reputable scientists, among them a Nobel laureate, when he urged citizens to write letters to city officials stating “Among reputable scientists there is no disagreement about the benefits of fluoridated water.”

A visit to http://floridadental.org/pro/members/resources/fluoride/ and a click on “Letter to City Officials” confirms the ugly smear. Is it a move of desperation that entices an educated health practitioner like Dr. Hoffman to advise his patients and other members of the general public to smear scientists of noble calling. The Big Lie apparently continues to be alive and well among the ranks of the Florida dentists.

Would it not be with a heavy heart to accuse a Florida dentist of showing little respect for organs in our body unless they were the teeth?

In an abundance of caution I deduce Dr. Hoffman’s attack is aimed at the more than 3,000 scientists who spoke up against fluoridation of our drinking water when they signed the “PROFESSIONALS’ STATEMENT” issued by the Fluoride Action Network (http://www.fluoridealert.org).

The video titled “Professional Perspectives on Water Fluoridation” and showing Sir Iain Chalmers in the website's title image features a Nobel Laureate in Medicine, three scientists from the National Research Council's landmark review on fluoride, as well as dentists, medical doctors, and leading researchers in the field. This professionally-produced 28-minute video (also available as a DVD) presents a powerful indictment of the fluoridation program.

Am I mistaken, Mister President of the Florida Dental Association? What scientific facts can you offer that prove those scientists who call for the discontinuance of fluoridation of our drinking water wrong and, therefore, are not reputable?

Are all members of the association you lead as president in support of your false and reckless utterances? If I recall correctly, all Florida dentists are required to pass an examination for admittance to the FDA and pay you with their membership dues. Irony has it that I, as head of the University of Florida Computing Center, supervised the processing of these exams in the 1960s.

We must, indeed, all hang together, or most assuredly we shall all hang separately.

• And the long list of distinguished scientists keeps growing — scientists whose research contributes toward making our world, including Dr. Hoffman’s, a healthier and better place to live in.

Dr. Paul Connett (Paul@fluoridealert.org), executive director of the Fluoride Action Network, has issued a nationwide call to all citizens to join in the concerted effort to ban fluoridation and has called for volunteers in all states of our great country to serve as Point Person. This noble task needs your support.

Let me advise Dr. Hoffman and his dentist colleagues in the state of Florida, their patients and other members of the general public will soon learn and understand the truth because TRUTH, carried forth by the written and spoken word, fortified and made more easily visible and understandable by fine art and video images, will triumph.

that for about 100 years the phosphate fertilizer industry released two very toxic gases into the environment. These gases, hydrogen fluoride and silicon tetra fluoride, decimated the local area, the vegetation, and crippled cattle. Eventually, the industrialists were required to capture these toxic gases with a spray of water called a wet scrubber. The scrubbing liquor is a solution of hexafluorosilicic acid. It cannot be dumped into the sea by international law. It can’t be dumped locally because it is too darn concentrated. But if someone buys it, it’s no longer a hazardous waste, it’s a product.

Guess who buys it? Answer: the local water utilities who add it to our drinking water. Over 90% of the systems fluoridating their water which is delivered to its customers as “drinking water” use this acid or its sodium salt. It’s absolutely absurd. More at the Grand Lifestyle Webinars.
