We have a new member Our star players, Sandra Brand and Greg Hall have been absent from our courts. Why? Here's the reason: Top-notch player Sandra, who also dabbles in pulling teeth, gave birth to a second future tennis ace. His name is Nicolas and he made his first appearance at high noon on the Grove Isle courts on Sunday, May 9 at the ripe-old-age of two months. Nicolas will be pictured upon winning his first match. Meanwhile, here are the proud parents accepting trophies from Luis Agostini at the Crandon Park Tennis Center, home of the NASDAQ. "I stayed in touch with Forty Love via email," explains Sandra. That leaves one question: Greg, why were you absent from the courts? Congratulations, Sandra and Greg. New lesson rates Please note the new lesson rates: $60 — 1 hour for members $35 — ½ hour for members $70 — 1 hour for non-members $45 — ½ hour for non-members Action tennis at your service
People we meet
"I've never met a man I don't like," so said Will Rogers. I concur. And there are many ladies to admire. Donna Singer is one. She devotes herself to good causes. Who else devotes her/his time to a worthy cause instead of silly, grumpy, clubby chitty-chat? But then, some are born to devote their life to propagating false club gossip rather than pitching in. Let us pity them and forgive. Donna, we are there for you and all who live by the Golden Rule. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Published for the members & friends of Grove Isle Club,

"I am delighted to report that the 4th Annual Lou Gehrig's Disease 10K Run and 5K Run/Walk was again hugely successful. Most importantly, the message is getting out and we are making great strides toward conquering this fatal disease." My heartfelt thanks to all. Donna Singer Mark Buckley hard at work The lesson activities are in full swing. Selena Chowdhury is taking a break from her lesson with Pro Mark Buckley. Here's a real challenge for Pro Mark Buckley.
