Grace Korse was so very prematurely taken from us on September 16.
Her upbeat, fun-loving good nature and contagious sense of humor were unique. She loved being with people and making those around her feel good. She loved playing tennis and also was devoted to the well being of animals. Grace, we won't forget you.

Grace's hometown newspaper, the Herald-Palladium, published this tribute on September 19, 2007.
WATERVLIET, MI -- Grace's life began Jan. 8, 1944, in Tampa, Fla.

Her proud parents were Walter and Catherine Arden. Grace spent her early years in Tampa, moving to Watervliet in 1960. In 1963, Grace graduated from Watervliet High School and was first runner-up to Miss Watervliet in 1962.

After graduation Grace worked for Whirlpool Corp. in St. Joseph. She then went to work in the airline industry as a flight attendant for Eastern Airlines for 20
years.

Grace was an excellent athlete, the sport she excelled in was tennis. She participated on the Eastern Airlines Tennis Team, winning many trophies in both singles and doubles. Grace also found time for modeling. She modeled for many cosmetic firms including Revlon; she also modeled for GM and Ford. Along with
working, playing tennis, and modeling Grace found time to act and had appeared in several different movies.
In November 1979, Grace married David Korse in Chicago. They resided in Chicago until David's company transferred him to Singapore, where they lived for five years. The two of them traveled extensively through the Middle East, Hong Kong and Thailand. They also found time to visit Paris, London and Monte Carlo. When they returned to the states they found themselves living in Connecticut, New York, and finally settling in Coconut Grove, Fla., where Grace passed away Sept. 15, 2007.
She will be remembered for being an excellent cook and decorator and her talent for throwing wonderful dinner parties. Grace enjoyed spending time with her friends and family which includes her sister, Dolores Youdell; her niece, Holly (Brian) Garland; her nephew, Edward (Beth) Youdell; greatnephews, Taylor Sawyer, Gerrit Youdell and Charlie Youdell; great-nieces, Madison Garland and Kate Youdell; and special friends, Linda Zalutsky and Jeanie Tokay.

Friends may visit with Grace's family Friday, Sept. 21, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet.

Funeral services will take place following visitation on Friday, Sept. 21, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Grace's memory to the Gerald W. Youdell Scholarship Fund.

I shall cherish forever the wonderful times we had in the company of many friends on the tennis court where you were a formidable partner at the net, our get-togethers after the game, the dinner parties at which you were such a gracious hostess, our reminiscing, our hours of mutual assistance caring for our pets …
Grace, we miss you.

After the Kiss
By Grace Arden Korse

Venture not towards thoughts of intrusion,
Thoughts of calm and independence.
Kiss warm lips that deliver passion,
Clinging taste of softness raping waves of thought,
Sense arousal, but be patient for after the kiss.

It was Grace's favored poem. She wrote it and many more years ago while enjoying a life filled with success as a flight attendant and model.
